ICIF STUDENTS AT THE INTERNATIONAL WHITE TRUFFLE FAIR IN ALBA AND ITS PLANNERS
After a wonderful reopening characterized by the arrival in mid-September of twenty-four Philipino students from the "De La Salle College of Saint Benilde" in Manila, teaching partner of the first Italian regional Culinary school for foreigners since 2010, for ICIF the time has come to host the World.
Well yes, although the statement sounds excessive, this is how can be defined the mix of cultures, origins and languages that the Costigliole d'Asti Institute is welcoming. There are currently students from twenty-one nations: Taiwan, Malaysia, Chile, Vietnam, Mexico, Seychelles, Romania, Lebanon, Pakistan, Singapore, Turkey, New Zealand, USA, Israel, Brazil, India, the Netherlands, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay and Bolivia. Having arrived here last week to undertake their training course of specialization in Pizza and regional Italian Cuisine, they took turns with the Philipino students who had just finished the didactic training of lessons.
The first training part ended for the students of Manila and was dotted with exciting immersions in the local culture, such as the tasting at the Emanuele Gambino winery (www.emanuelegambino.com), the Costigliole D'Asti wine company, where Emanuele personally produces and vinifies his grapes, or a visit to the “93rd International Alba White Truffle Fair”, thanks to the kind invitation of the organizer Mr Marco Scuderi.
UPON ENTERING THE ALBA EVENT, A TASTY TASTING OF TRUFFLE-BASED PRODUCTS FROM THE COSTIGLIOLESE COMPANY “RARITY” (HTTPS://PIEMONTERARITY.IT/
) AWAITED THEM.
Indelible memories that marked their first phase of study. A few weeks ago they undertook the curricular internship at the best Piedmontese restaurants such as the Antica Corona Reale in Cervere, led by Davide Palluda (https://anticacoronareale.com/ - 2 Michelin Stars), the Ristorante 21.9 by Flavio Costa in Piobesi d 'Alba (https://www.ristorante21punto9.it/ - 1 Michelin Star) or Ca' Vittoria in Tigliole in Asti province, under the guidance of Massimiliano Musso (https://www.ristorantevittoria.it/ - 1 Michelin Star ). In the running for future stars there is Casa Nicolini restaurant in Barbaresco (https://casanicolini.it/), also among the facilities hosting ICIF students. The selection of partner restaurants is careful and rigorous and among these also includes the "Trattoria La Coccinella" in Serravalle Langhe (http://www.trattoriacoccinella.com/).
